When is NLS going to actually have functional query-based reporting and support APM and System metrics?
I'm being pressured to find a solution to create automated APM and systems metrics reports that are available in other, arguably comparable Log Management platforms. I'm having a hard time justifying current and future spends on NLS, given how far is it lagging behind even the Free and Basic versions of ElasticStack's APM and Metrics capabilities.

Re: Missing Features>
Hi Jamie,
Thanks for asking. Since we have another product dedicated to monitoring, Nagios XI, we'll likely keep Nagios Log Server geared towards log monitoring and do not plan to add APM and system metrics in the near future. If you'd like to check out our product roadmap, it's available online at:

Benjamin

Re: Missing Features>
This is not meant personally, but the statement as presented indicates a fundamental misunderstanding of monitoring vs analysis, and a general failure to consider the real-world use-cases for platforms like Nagios XI and Nagios Log Server.
In regards to the roadmap... I do in fact check it regularly. As it relates to NLS, the roadmap presented hasn't changed significantly in 2 years. As presented currently, it is vague enough to be truthful, while being utterly useless as a datum for product evaluation.
Thank you for your time.
