Active Directory Authentication

I would like to use Active Directory authentication for nagiosxi. I have found the Active directory component however, I cannot seem to find any documentation on how to implement it. Is there documentation someplace that would help me integrate NagiosXI and AD using a AD group membership to grant access? Can this be further broken down to 2 seperate groups, one for administrative functions and one for view only?

The Active Directory components are only used for authentication, not authorization.

Each user will still need to be setup in Nagios XI with the permissions they need.
