Hi team,
We have recently started monitoring Vcentre and ESXi servers through Nagios XI using box_293 plugin. We do have a separate VMA box.
We have around 100 hosts (vcentre and ESXi) and 300 services monitored from our Nagios XI. We started getting
"Unknow: Total number of concurrent checks exceeds 10, aborting!" error on almost all services.
We referred to some other posts in forum and made the changes in box293_check_vmware.pl file in /home/vi-admin on VMA server.
We have changed the value of concurrent_checks to 50. After that the services went into OK state.
Again after some time, we started getting same error as "Unknown: Total number of concurrent checks exceeds 50, aborting!" .
Could you please suggest if we can increase this value to a greater value?
Will it impact Nagios XI server performance?
Is there any other way to resolve this issue?
We are currently using Nagios XI 5.7.3.
Thanks in advance!!

Re: Total number of concurrent checks exceeds 50, aborting!
You'll need to increase it higher so that you don't receive the message.
That's the only thing that you can change for this other than adding additional VMA servers:

It may impact nagios XI performance, you'll need to monitor the load on the system with the "top" command.
