System Hung

Hello,
The Nagios becomes lazy and no check and with a lot of messages in queue.
We have a big installation and whe we compile sometimes the hung becomes imposible of unqueue, we need to restores from VM backup because the official restore does no run,
The DataBase is MariaDB and has a lot of locks
How can we migrate to postgress
Anyway the filesystems are refered as bind
[root@a2nagio001p ~]# locate nagios.cmd
/nagiosXI/usr/local/nagios/var/rw/nagios.cmd
/usr/local/nagios/var/rw/nagios.cmd

Hello:

When we do any delicated operation delicated
Nagios becomes:

intractable approach drive

And the queue increase more and more untill there is not checks

We do not have a process for migrating everything to postgresql, it's not supported. The code doesn't support it at this time (backups/restores/etc) and we do not test against that setup.

If the kernel message queue isn't processing fast enough, is your DB local or remote?

The problem appears when starting chrome and the navigator becomes in not responding and started to queue
The other time i tried to download profile and hungs, so I closed the navigator and start to queue

What XI version are you running? I think you are hitting a bug that was resolved in XI 5.7.2.

Try going to Admin > Performance Settings > Backend Cache tab and disable the backend cache. Then test again.

If that doesn't resolve it you may want to create a ticket for this and include a link back to this forum thread so we can get a remote session setup:
