All,

I am trying to do an offline installation of Nagios XI 5.7.4. My server has a RHEL 7 OS and our unix team downloads rpm repositories for use locally. I am stuck trying to obtain the following 2 rpms to complete the installation. They are: pmyssql and mysql-server. Can you tell me where I can obtain these rpm's. I haven't been able to find them in any of our local repositories.

Thank you for your assistance!!!

The package for providing a MySQL-compatible server in RHEL7 and CentOS 7 is called mariadb-server.

And the package providing the Python library "PyMSSQL" is called python2-pymssql.

As far as where to download them, that would depend on your environment, but hopefully this helps your search.

I didn't realize you had already installed some packages of MySQL 8.0.

You'll need to remove mariadb-server by running:

Code: Select all

rpm -e mariadb-server
Then the package to install the missing server component of MySQL 8.0 is called rh-mysql80-mysql-server.

I have tried your suggestions without success. The "offline" install still insists on the following rpms:

Error: Package: nagiosxi-deps-5.7.4-1.noarch (/nagiosxi-deps-5.7.4-1.noarch)
Requires: pymssql
Error: Package: nagiosxi-deps-5.7.4-1.noarch (/nagiosxi-deps-5.7.4-1.noarch)
Requires: mysql-server

Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance for all your help.
