Wanting to learn Nagios XI

Post by danieloxi49 »

I am a student and want to learn how to use Nagios XI so I can better prepare for the industry. Most of the books that I have seen are from back in 2013 and don't mention version XI. Can anyone recommend a book for the current version or perhaps a YouTube or Udemy lesson for me to learn how to use this? I would like to become proficient for an entry level enterprise position.

Hi @danieloxi49,

You can use Nagios XI for Free to monitor your home network! While it's limited to 100 checks, this is a great way to learn the product.

To start learning and setting up monitoring, check out the User Guide in the UI, go to Help > Documentation Guides. I would recommend using the NCPA to setup checks on any devices such as PC's or servers. The configuration wizard makes this super easy.

We also have tons of helpful videos on oue youtube channel and more howtos on the knowledgebase.
