How to upgrade from 2.0.6 to 2.1.7

Post by vlee »

I have a 2 node cluster running on Cent6 and 2.0.6 that I want to upgrade to Cent7 and 2.1.7. What is the best way to go about that?

Hi vlee,
Since CentOS 6 has been EOL since November 30th, 2020, I would do the upgrade in the following order:

Code: Select all

1. Upgrade to CentOS 7
2. Upgrade Nagios LS to v2.1.7
Here's the upgrade instruction:

Multiple Log Server Instances
If you have multiple instances in your Nagios Log Server Cluster, you should perform the updates in a rolling
fashion performing the upgrade on one machine at a time until all cluster members have been upgraded. After
the upgrade has been performed across all of your nodes, ensure that they appear properly under
Administration > System > Instance Status.
