Hello everyone,
i'm trying to setup vmware monitoring as stated in this guide:
https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... ios-XI.pdf
while i'm stuck during the installation of sdk prerequisites, the customer is asking for matrix compatibility:
We have NagiosXI 5.8 on a CentOS 7 box, so as suggested, we'll install Vmware SDK 6.5
Which ESXi / vcenter versions can we monitor in this scenario?
At the moment we have 5.5 to 6.7 vmware Esx, but sooner or later something will move ahead
Thanks and best regards

Re: Monitoring VMware With Nagios XI: version matrix
Hi Juri,
I've tested this against version 6.7, using the 6.5 SDK, and to my knowledge, I do not know of any issues using the configuration wizard with 6.5 SDK against higher versions of vSphere. I believe the main difference in later versions is the addition of new API endpoints for polling data.
Regards,
Benjamin
