Network Inventory monitoring using nagiosxi

Hello Team ,

I would like to monitor below network inventory from nagiosxi . Please suggest if it is possible and how to implement in nagiosxi .

1. Access Point-- Aruba , Fortinet ,Net Gear ,Ruckus ,TP-Link

2.ACS -- Cisco

3.Avaya media gateway

4.Avaya Voice - AMMServer

5.Avaya Voice - Server

6.Checkpoint IPS

7.Checkpoint Mgmt. Server

8.CPPM Server

9.Identity Service Engine-- Cisco

10. Voice Gateway & Server --Avaya

11.WAN Optimizer-- Bluecoat , Riverbed Steelhead, Silver Peak

12. Wireless Controller--Aruba , Cisco

13. Qualys ( COnsole )

Hello @taashee,

Most of these types of devices will use SNMP for monitoring, and they are a couple of options to set this up. You can use the generic wizards in Nagios XI like the SNMP Wizard or Switch/Router Wizard.

Another option is to look for a community plugin on the Nagios Exchange that was developed for the specific device. Normally, these work using SNMP as well but the OID's are hardcoded in the scripts. For example, there a number of community plugins for Avaya monitoring.
