Dashboard graphs - bulk renaming

Post by solarmon »

Hi,

I have several dashboards with several graphs of nodes that had their node names renamed. These graphs are now invalid - showing "no data to display" because of the name change.

How can I easily 'rename' the graphs so that it uses the new name? At the moment I'm having to add the graphs back in manually. I would like an easier and quicker method to do this.

Thank you.

Hi,

Good question. Currently, the ability to directly edit or edit dashboards in bulk is not available in Nagios XI. This would take direct editing of the database itself (the dashboards are stored in the user_meta table of the nagiosxi database). Going to check with the team on this one and follow up shortly, but adding the graphs back manually is likely the best option here.

Best Regards,
Benjamin
