Hi Team,
We have one file server which is getting multiple files to respective folders across the days over different times. So,we have created time periods according to the file arriving times to check files availability in time .And sometimes files are not processing during public holidays , so we have mentioned ignore public holidays in time periods. But , file checks are happening during public holidays too even we mentioned in time period. This Leads to false alert triggered in Nagios which causes auto incidents creation in out of time, because recently we have integrated Nagios with ServiceNow .
Please find attached screenshots for reference.
In Attached screenshot, file check happens between 9:40 Am -9:55 Am from Monday to Friday . But needs to ignore public holidays.
We came to know this issue at last Good Friday ( Public Holiday).
Could someone please suggest on this.
Regards,
Chandrasekhar

Re: Files check happening out of Time period
Hi @tchandra,
I'd like to take a closer look at the time period exclusion you have set for the service. If you can send me the system profile, and let me know the exact name of the service, I can take a closer at the configurations for you and also check the time settings on this server.
Additionally, it would be very helpful to review the Event Log report from last Friday. You can do this by going to Reports > Available Reports > Event Log and select the custom option for the period.
To send us your system profile.
Login to the Nagios XI GUI using a web browser.
Click the "Admin" > "System Profile" Menu
Click the "Download Profile" button
Thanks,
Benjamin

Hi Chandra,
Happy to hear you were able to get this resolved.
If you want to learn more about time periods. The Nagios Core documentation is really helpful, there are a few examples shown on the page below.
