NagiosXI upgrade to 8.3.1

Post by sneha.irali »

Hi Team,

Can I directly upgrade the Nagios from 5.6.12/5.6.9/5.7.3/5.7.4/5.7.5(Since we have multiple instances running on different older versions) to 8.3.1..?

Or is there any upgrade path I will have to follow.

Regards,

Hi, I have the exact same question with the addition that we are using the offline installation.

Hi,
Hope you are having a good day!! ... :-)

You should be able to upgrade directly from 5.6.x/5.7.x to 5.8.3 (latest Nagios XI released version).
Please NOTE if your XI system is on CentOS 6.x, you can only upgrade to Nagios XI 5.7.5

Please, backup your system first:

Here's the upgrade instruction:

If you are doing "offline" install/upgrade, please NOTE that only CentOS and RHEL are supported.

Download "offline" RPM package:
https://repo.nagios.com/?repo=offline

Here's the "offline" install:

Prerequisites for offline install/upgrade:
