Availability Summary - chart decimal places and accuracy

Post by jasoncrev »

Have a feature request, and some inconsistent data.

As you can see from the below screenshot, the Average Service Availability is 99.87, but when you look at the data table below the graphs, it says 99.855. If anything, I assumed the 99.87 should be 99.86?? The 2nd 5 in 99.855 rounds up the 1st 5 to a 6?

Also, for uptime percentages, I really like the granularity of the three decimal places - the coveted five nines uptime. Can we have the option of seeing this on the graph too? Because I am using the graph on a dashboard. As you can see from the screenshot, it claims host uptime is 100%, but based on the data table, it's really not 100%

Thanks for reporting this, I'm able to replicate this on my system. I'm investigating and will post an update shortly.

EDIT:

I've submitted a bug report to development:

XI - Availability Report - Rounding issue between the avail graphs (both host and service sometimes) and the table data

I've submitted a feature request for the five nines as well (good idea!):

FR: XI - Avail/SLA/Exec Summary - Add ability to show five nines
