Escalation

Hello,

I'm in internship since a few weeks and we are seriously thinking about migration of our supervision software (IP Monitor) to Nagios XI.

We are testing the software for a few weeks, but we meet a real problem. I want to define same escalation configuration for almost all hosts and services. The point is if I want to do that, I actually have to create a host escalation for all hosts (*), but for all services, I actually have to create a service escalation configuration for each host (and select only the right services on the list). This is too long to configure and too hard to maintain (guess I want to change an escalation parameter for all services…).

Is there a solution for this ?

At this time there is no way at this time to do global escalations, however you can add it to a feature request on the XI tracker to be implemented in the future.
