Hi Friends,
We did a network maintenance 4 days ago. Maintenance took like 2-3 hour of periodic downtimes up to 20 minutes per period.
We are still deploying and testing nagios xi with ncpa agents on the site. After 4 days i login and i saw that most of the services gives error on topic and after 4 days still shows this error message still. So it seems it doesnot check continously after timeout reached and it stops if not manually intervened. I did fix this with nagios and httpd restart.
So please help me guide. What did i do wrong on deployment? Ncpa timeout as i understand 60 seconds then plugins stops to check so they dont return checking after amount of time? So what the behaviour will be if there is a downtime more then 60 seconds on network?
Nagios xi and ncpa requires manuel intervention?
Note: I did go and force immediate check on some services but it says that an error occured and still not update the service but when i login to shell and check with check_ncpa check returns without any problem at all. So what should do to not to face such a big problem?

Hello @safe-nagios
Thanks for reaching out, sounds like checks are timing out, and when you bounce the services, the checks resume. I want to find out if you get better results when increasing the timeouts. Please reference the support document found here:

Please let me know the results,
Perry
