Service Availability doesn't match service %

Post by seaward1983 »

Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 7.9 (Maipo)
x86_64
Manual install of XI -- running since 2019
Version of XI - Installed Version: 5.8.6

Our weekly service availability is consistently off. Any ideas?

can you give me more details with what is the miss that caused Service Availability 99.78%
where did the .22% go ?

Hi @seaward1983,

Can you download this report in a PDF and attach it or send it over in a private message? Also, please post a screenshot of the Advanced Settings. I'd like to take a closer look at the data.

Thanks,
Benjamin

Hi,

Thanks for the report. Looking it over, it does look correct. For the services, it showing an average of 99.78 uptime.

You'll find those numbers at the bottom of the services data table.
Average 99.776% 0.207% 0.007% 0.011%
The numbers above are just averages. If you scroll through all the services you'll find that some of those were in critical, warning or unknown states.
Can you give me more details with what is the miss that caused Service Availability 99.78%
where did the .22% go ?
If you would like to know more, I would recommend pulling a state history report on these services or searching the nagios.log archives for details on when these services went OK to non-OK.

Regards,
Benjamin
