Dear All,
I Have a Cent OS 6.9 server with Nagios Xi 5.7.5.
The Nagios upgrade is not possible in the current OS version. If I got it correctly there is no straightforward OS Upgrade for Cent OS main version.
I see on the Nagios webpage there is a preinstalled VM image for new installations. On the other hand for the migration, I need an image with Nagios XI 5.7.5.
Can I find a VM with this version with a higher CentOS version?
Thank you for your help.
Regards,
Attila
Nagios XI 5.7.5 (Cent OS 6.9) Upgrade
Re: Nagios XI 5.7.5 (Cent OS 6.9) Upgrade
Hi,
The supported upgrade path would be to create a new server with CentOS8 (minimal installation).
Then on that new server install Nagios 5.7.5 (found at https://www.nagios.com/downloads/nagios ... -releases/)
Then you can backup your existing Nagios XI and restore it to the new server running CentOS with Nagios XI 5.7.5
https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... ios-XI.pdf
Then you can upgrade to the latest version of Nagios XI by following:
https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... ctions.pdf
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!
