Hi,

It is practical to monitor Amazon instances which are controlled by Auto scaling?

They are by nature ephemeral, so is there a way to tell the Nagios server to delete a system when an Autoscaler terminates an instance?

We actually have another customer who's doing exactly what you describe. They did some of their own home-grown scripts for detecting the new instances, but as far as the XI side of things, you can use the doc below to auto scale:
