Alternate Trap Server?

Post by XenoPhage »

Hi there,

We're in the process of getting a full Nagios XI system up and running. So far I have all of our normal active checks working well. Next step is to deal with traps. For a variety of reasons including load and convenience, I'd like to have the traps going to an alternate server. How do I integrate this with Nagios XI?

The alternate server is a Linux system with snmptrapd and snmptt installed on it already, though I can make whatever adjustments are necessary to facilitate this.

Thanks,

Jason

Do you want Nagios XI to receive or to send traps? It can do both...
