Services in Unknown state

Post by exjflog »

Hi, I have a server with CPU, Memory and uptime services in Unknown state, please help.

CPU usage: "NSClient - ERROR: Could not get data for 5".
Memory usage: "NSClient - ERROR: Error getting PDH value".
Uptime: NSClient - ERROR: Could not obtain value

Is nsclient running on the host?
Are there other services that use nsclient on that host working?
Is nsclient configured the same on hosts that are running the same services?

Hey @exjflog

It's possible that you may need to modify the config files to fix this issue. Here is a link to another forum post with the same issue that might shed some light on a possible fix.

The easiest way is to restart the NSClient service on your server. It's my familiar way.
