New reports vs Legacy reports question

Post by xcs_33 »

Hi all!

Just a question that I haven't found.
In old Nagios we had the current Legacy Reports - Availability where we can see the number of minutes/hours a host was down in a period of time. In the new NagiosXI we continue having this report and see the number of minutes the host is down, but we cannot specify to this report that do not take into account Scheduled Downtimes, as we can do in Availabe Reports - Availability. But with this new report that I can Hide schedule downtime, I cannot see the minutes the host is down, I only see %.

Is it possible in one report to see numbers of minutes is down except scheduled downtime?

Thank you!

Best regards!!

Hey @xcs_33

Unfortunately it looks like we only show percentages now. If this is something that you would like to request we can make a note of it. However we can not say a time frame or if this will take precedent over other issues or feature's that are being worked on. In the mean time if you would like to know how long in hours or minutes something has been down, we display the report period in the top right corner and it should be some simple math to do with a calculator to find the time.

Hi @sgardil,

Thanks a lot for your reply and very sorry for the time I take to answer.
It would be nice if future versions of Nagios came with the minutes together with percentatges :)

But now, I will change the way I check downtime, no worries for that.

Best regards!

No worries. I will make a note of this request however I can't give a time frame on when this will be addressed. In the mean time feel free to check out our new releases for added features and bug fixes here: https://www.nagios.com/changelog/
