Nagios XI failed installation on ./B-installxi

Hi,

facing problem with ./B-installxi section on the installation procedure.

getting:

Database Error: Could not connect to database
The server requested authentication method unknown to the client

seems issue with install_configwizard.php and DB connect, but i dont see any attemp to connect to mysql.

please advice.

Hi kobylevy,

Looks like someone had a similar case here. Take a snapshot before attempting this fix.

Which distro and which version of XI are you trying to install or upgrade from?
