New Install of the Latest Nagios XI, no web GUI

Hello,
I did a fresh install of recently downloaded Nagios XI (2024R1). I used the OVA file installed on esxi 7, then started up the new VM and got the initial web GUI, set the timezone and password and got the "Installation complete" page, showing my username and password. I clicked the blue button labeled "Login to Nagios XI." That opened a new tab with a url of https://nagiosVM-IP-address/nagiosxi/ which spun a long time, then said "Unable to connect." httpd seems to be running, but I can't get nagios to open via web GUI. I can log on to the terminal and run commands.
I have the new Nagios VM and a Centos VM running on the same VLAN, same host, to eliminate potential network/firewall issues. I also tried to access the web GUI from my workstation on a separate VLAN, which did not work.
Got commands for me to run? Or questions/further troubleshooting?
(We have a service contract -- should I be reaching out by other means than this forum?)
TIA!
