Notification Messages error

I keep getting this message when i go into Notification Options > Notification Messages:

Nagios XI notification handlers are not defined for this account. XI notification handlers must be defined in the Core Config Manager for customized notification settings.

Management of notification preferences is not available for your account. Contact your Nagios XI administrator for details.

Most probably the xi notification handlers are not defined. Go to the Core Config Manager->Contacts->find the contact that you are having issues with and click on the "Modify" button next to it. Make sure you have the proper host and service commands selected. Also, check if you are using the "xi_contact"generic" template under the "Misc Settings" tab.

The default xi notification handlers are the "xi_host_notification_handler" and the "xi_service_notification_handler". Please, read more on the topic here:
