Greetings,
I was curious if it is possible to pass information back from multiple Nagios servers performing service checks to a single Nagios server used only for the BPI. I would still like to configure monitoring and alerting from each of the seperate Nagios servers performing service checks. This thought came to my while watching the tutorial video for Nagios BPI v2.0. I know that version is beta and thus unsupported but is it possible to set this up for BPI 1.3? I have attached a screenshot of the demo in the tutorial where the demo machine appears to only have BPI service checks running on it but still has the information for the Nagios BPI to work. I would love to set this up for BPI 1.3 if possible.

Re: Standalone Nagios BPI server
You could achieve this by configuring inbound/outbound transfers on the XI machines, so the results you want would get forwarded to a central XI install that has BPI on it. I would actually lean towards using the new 2.x version of BPI, we're not that far from our 2012 release of XI that will ship with it. If you need the latest Beta I can send that your way. The difference in performance from 1.3 to 2.x will be substantial for what you're looking to setup.
Re: Standalone Nagios BPI server
So just to confirm, there is a way to configure XI to forward results to a central XI server but does not impact our current configuration setup of our existing XI servers that execute the checks. What I am getting at is that I would hate to forward results to a central XI server strictly use for BPI and then find out that if we want to configure new checks, we have to do it on the BPI server instead. Stuff like that.
I am planning on using BPI v2.0. It is very impressive but just felt guilty about asking you a question about a product that was still in Beta
Thanks for your help.

Re: Standalone Nagios BPI server
No worries on the BPI Beta, I would actually prefer to support that version moving forward.
Take a look at these for forwarding check results.
