Monitoring printers

I am monitoring my buildings printers, and last night i got an alert that one of them went into sleep mode.
How do i disable that? i only want to be notified if they go offline.

What is the plugin the you are using? Download link?

it is whatever came with the nagios, i didn't install a plugin for printers

If the alerts was for a warning state, you disable alerts for that service for warning states. Otherwise, you might need a more robust plugin for monitoring the printer. It looks like check_hpjd doesn't come with many options.
