wrong alerts of swap usage

Nagios has detected a problem with this service.

Notification Type: PROBLEM

Host: uvdev.mouser.lan

State: CRITICAL

Connection refused by host
Date/Time: 2012-09-06 11:08:00

The above is the alert i received about the swap usage it is set to warning 50% and critical 80%

but my actual paging space is

uvdev:/# lsps -a
Page Space Physical Volume Volume Group Size %Used Active Auto Type Chksum
hd6 hdisk0 rootvg 2048MB 2 yes yes lv 0

Only 2% is used but i am still getting the alerts.

I was looking at this. It says connection refused by host. Could that be it?

And i am not sure why is it says connection refused by the host what does that mean ?

This generally means the XI server couldn't reach the host.

Did you install an agent on this host?

Is the firewall blocking?

My xi server and host are in the same network and there is only firewall block on outside network.

Is there anything else i need to check ?

Please see your other thread regarding NRPE.

For the "Refused by host" issue. If the host is refusing the connection from the Nagios side NRPE then you will undoubtedly have issues with the information reported.
