NagiosXI - Users & Contacts

Hi,

I have created a user with corresponding Monitoring Contact, I have configured the monitoring contact to only send alerts when host is down or service is in critical state, but I have not assigned this monitoring contact to any host or service yet, however NagiosXI started sending alerts regardless of this configuration.

How can I make configure this monitoring contact to only send notification alerts for specific services is assigned to and not for everything host/service?

Can see all hosts and services : The user can see all hosts and services that are being monitored – not just the ones
they are direct or indirect notification contacts for.

I have set the permission to read only, however NagiosXI is still alerting for all hosts, how can I modify permission for the user/contact so that it only receives notification that it is directly assigned?

Also, I have noticed any setting on the contact are global, for example, if I set a contact to receive notification only when host is down and/or service is critical; this will be for all services and and all hosts, and not just ones directly assigned. Is it better to configure notification options at the contact level or at the host/service level.
