I'm trying create a service check on a windows server for a particular windows service.
NetBackup Client Service

Running Nagios Core 4.3.4
NSClient++

I'm not familiar with writing a specific service check within Nagios. Any suggestions on where to start?

It looks like nsclient has an internal service check.

Have a look at nsclient.ini to see if a service check is defined already.
