NXLOG is running but not sending logs. What might be the problem?

Hi Al,

What makes you say it is not sending? Is it not sending or is Nagios Log Server not receiving? Or is nxlog sending, and NLS is receiving, but you are not finding the results in your query?

What does your nxlog.conf look like? Does the destination IP match your actual Log Server IP? What query are you running to find the logs?

I'm attempting to receive Windows logs. NXlog service is running. I put the correct information into nxlog.conf file it matches and <Output out>
Module om_tcp
Host 172.16.220.129
Port 3515

is the correct destination. And I get: No logs found. No logs from that host in the database. The sender's firewall may be blocking the logs or the sender may be misconfigured.

2025-01-25 12:55:58 INFO nxlog-ce-3.2.2329 started

That looks like a misconfiguration of nxlog. Can you post the contents of nxlog.conf from c:\program files\nxlog\conf?
