NagiosXI API setup

Post by MuralTech »

Hello,

Having issues provider my development team API access to brand new NagiosXI install.

I see the plugin that was / is deprecated. But, Im unable to install the zip folder that has the updated API plugin.

Any suggestions to get a working API in XI would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Mark

I am a little confused by the question. What is the plugin that you are trying to install and what is it supposed to do? You shouldn't need an external plugin to use XI's api, unless its something to add additional functionality? You should just have to go to your account settings when logged into a user with api access and the api key should be present that you can send to whoever you want to be able to use the api. Also you could make the development team an admin account so they could get the api key themselves by logging into the gui. To get to your account settings you can click the user icon in the top right corner and go to account settings.
