Nagios not Acknowledging email

I have recently migrated my XI from centos 7 to centos 9 finally got most things working. My current issue is that Nagios is NOT Acknowledging email.

WHen it send an alert out...looks good, has the hash at the end of the email..

I hit reply, type ack and hit send
I look in the mailbox that nagios monitors....and the email does get injested....but the alert is not affected.
no email rejection, nothing....just like I did nothing.
if i reply back with random lettwr or spell acknowledge worng, I will get a response from Nagios saying I need to respond with correct words..that tells me it is reading the email.....just not processing valid commands.

any ideas?
