DB Connection Error [nagiosxi]: Datebase connection failed

Post by [email protected] »

We recently ran into an issue with our NagiosXI server that you guys installed for us.

Our server which is at Godaddy, was having issues where the server would stop working. It came up after a hard reboot and would work fine for another day or two and then would go down again. This has been happening for more than a week now.

This morning the guys at GoDaddy informed us that they would be replacing the CPU and memory on the server to help resolve the issue but after they did this our NagiosXI gives us an error message…”DB Connection Error [nagiosxi]: Datebase connection failed.”

How do we fix this problem?

Run the following from the command line

Code: Select all

df -h
I am guessing you are out of disk space...

Im not a linux guy at all. So don't know where to begin when you say "df -h".

Is this something that you can go into our server to correct?

Current the server is not using any resources but while it was operating properly it has 93% disk space free.

I would like you to type that at the command line and then return the results back here.

Thanks.

If we have further trouble, we may be able to have a remote session to help get you going.
