Hi guys,
When I was recently writing some code to update some custom variables i noted they are, in fact, case sensitive.
However, when we list custom host variables on the website, they're all upper case.
Is this intentional? I know we can get the list of all variables from a host directly from the API, which will return the case sensitive values, but I thought it strange to display an upper cased version of a case sensitive variable.
Thanks
James
Possible bug in custom variable display?
Re: Possible bug in custom variable display?
Hi @jseldon,
Thanks for reaching out.
I will have to do some digging on this. When I look at the Manage Custom Variables interface under Host Management, mine all show up as lower case.
When I add variables, they all show up as lower case, no matter whether I used lower, upper or camel case.
What version of XI are you using and what distro/version?
Thanks for reaching out.
