SSO login doesn't update user last login time

Post by danielheaton »

A user logging in via SSO doesn't update the 'Last Login' field on the 'Manage Users' page to show the login date and time - is this expected?

I am pretty sure it is not supposed to do that but I couldn't replicate it. Could you provide more background.

Sure thing, I've got a number of users that are Active Directory bound, and logging in with AD user credentials via normal username + password field updates the 'Last Login' field with the time and date.

When those same users are enabled for SSO logging in via the SAML link ('Sign in with Microsoft' in my case) logs the user account in, but doesn't update the 'Last Login' field.

Happens consistently on the 3 users who have used SSO login so far.

Hello, I will have to get set up with SSO and test this. Once I have more information I will follow up here.

An issue has been created for this. The last login time was being stored on the backend, but the front end was not properly updating. I have been told we should have a fix for this in the next update of XI.
