Hi,
We haven't updated Nagios Core in 9 years. It's time.
But now we can't figure out how to do it lol.
We run it on a Windows 2016 server.
Downloaded the 4.5.10 .tar file.
Extracted the .tar file into a folder.
Extracted that extracted .tar file into a usable Windows folder.
That all appears to be required steps.
But from there we don't know how to upgrade.
There doesn't seem to be an executable.
Some info online indicates copying and pasting new folder directly over old folder.
But then we would lose all configurations with the overwrite, correct?
Seeking help on how to get to where we need to go, from where we are.
Wanting to be on version 4.5.10 with all existing configurations in place.
We monitor several things with the application and don't want to have to re-do every config file that would be a nightmare.
Thank you in advance.

Hi @jcook,
Thanks for your note.
Nagios Core runs on a number of Linux distributions, but it doesn't run on Windows. Do you maybe have it running on a VM on the Windows machine?
Let's sort out how it is actually running.
