ok to set the stage I have a host that has several services associated with it.
Host A
Service A1
Service A2
Service A3
How can I configure so that when Service A3 issues a warning it will send the alert to the contact group "CG-A" associated with Host A without associating "CG-A" to all the underlying services (Service A1 - Service A3)?
Is it the Notifacation enabled by any chance?

Re: Notifacation Question
Go to
Configure -> CCM -> Services -> Service A3 -> Modify -> Alert Settings Tab
Click notepad to the right of Contact groups
Select contact group "CG-A"
Save
Save
Apply Configuration
this will add this contact group to this service, and give the contacts in this group the rights to view this service.
If you were to add the contact group to Host A, they would be able to see all of the services on the host.
Configure -> CCM -> Services -> Service A3 -> Modify -> Alert Settings Tab
Click notepad to the right of Contact groups
Select contact group "CG-A"
Save
Save
Apply Configuration
this will add this contact group to this service, and give the contacts in this group the rights to view this service.
