Hello,

I am trying to upload some images to NagVis so I can design my own maps,etc but I keep getting this error
NagVisError:{"type":"error","message":"The file could not be uploaded (Error: 1: File is too large (PHP limit)).","title":"ERROR","reloadTime":null,"reloadUrl":null}
and so I tried compressing it and it gave the below error. so I thought compressed images do not upload properly so tried another image which is smaller and a png file but still got the below error.
NagVisError:{"type":"error","message":"The uploaded file is no image (png,jpg,gif) file or contains unwanted chars.","title":"ERROR","reloadTime":null,"reloadUrl":null}

Please let me know what the issue is.

Thank you

Can you describe in details how exactly are you uploading the images in NagVis? What version of NagVis are you using?

I was not able to recreate the issue. I just uploaded 1024x768 pixels image to NagvVis (size=1.06 MB), following these steps:

1. Options->Manage Backgrounds
- Typed a name for the background under "Create background image"
- Browse->...->Upload under "Upload background image"

2. Options->Manage Maps
- Typed a map name
- Select your image from the "Background" drop-down menu under "Create map"
- Clicked on "Create Map.

Is this what you are trying to do, or you are doing something else?

Can you also tell us what version you are attempting this upload on? The Nagios XI version and the Nagvis version. Thank you!

I am using NagiosXI version 2012R1.0 and Nagvis version 1.5.9.
Lmiltchev - I am trying to follow the same steps you mentioned below. I try step 1 and as soon as I try uploading an image, I get the errors mentioned before.

Thank you.

Do you have any spaces in the name of the image file? If you do, try using a name with no spaces. Do you get the same error, when you click on the "Upload" button?
