Need some information on rsync process

We are planning to build 4 nagios servers with Xi in it.
One being the master for all and get the data from other three servers.
All login controls and gui will be from nagios master servers.

Is rsync required to be running in this kind of nagios Xi distributed environment to sync the data or for anything else.This posed to be a security risk in our scans.Any immedeiate response would be greatly helpful

No, I don't think rsync is required at all. The easiest way to accomplish this would be to setup outbound/inbound transfers, so that you would transfer data from the remote machines to the master via NSCA or NRDP. Please, read our documentation on this topic:
