Database connection failed DB Connect Error [nagiosxi]: Data

Hello,

I tried to login to XI today, only to encounter this error:

DB Connect Error [nagiosxi]: Database connection failed DB Connect Error [nagiosxi]: Database connection failed DB Connect Error [nagiosxi]: Database connection failed

I tried to stop and restart the mysqld service, but mysqld fails to start. I ran '/usr/local/nagiosxi/scripts/repairmysql.sh nagios' and DB tables need not to be repaired. I stopped iptables, but no change. I even rebooted the server, but am still getting same error.

Please help. I have verified and NO alerts are being issued. We are monitoring a lot of hosts and services so bringing this system back online is critical.
