NTFS Shares

Is there a way to monitor if an NTFS share goes offline? IE server is rebooted, etc and the share is not up.

Technically you could do this with a standard NRPE drive space check. What would happen would be that the server went down for whatever reason, and Nagios would report that service "NTFS" as critical for not returning data when requested. Then when the server came back up the data would start to move again and the service would switch to Ok.
