We had our SAN crash and when NagiosXI database came back up, items started gettign checked again and showing up. However, one service is reporting:

Code: Select all

(service check orphaned, is the mod-gearman worker on queue 'service' running?)

If I schedule a check, it never runs. This check is just seeing if SSH is running on the server. It is configured like the other 10 services for that server, no special service group or anything.

Any clues?

So I made it inactive, applied setting, reactivated it, applied settings and the check still won't run. Now stuck in pending state.

This sounds like an issue that is caused by the job not being killed off when it was told to, is it feasible for you to restart the worker and the mod gearman server? Not the box, just the service.

That was it, I restarted the worker and gearmand and it seems ok now.
