Display Issues using Internet Explorer 9

Post by allenwallach »

When I log into our server running Nagios XI and click on Host Details, it just sits there with those little wheels spinning and never displays anything. If I click on compatibility mode and then click on Host Details everything is display perfectly. Is there settings that need to be checked in Internet Explorer 9 instead of using compatibility mode?

That is correct, IE 9 must be in compatibility mode for the Nagios XI page. It should remember your setting on a per site basis.

Is putting it in compatibility mode just a temporary fix or is it permanent?

Correct, Microsoft changed the way some of the internal extensions work within IE and it is playing havoc with quite a few things. We are currently looking for workarounds.

What version of Nagios XI are you currently using?

Starting in 1.5+ we have code added to tell IE what mode to display in to work properly for each of the pages.
