jboss2nagios help

Hi,

I have set up Nagios core in my machine and was running successfully.
I am new to monitoring tool and also for nagios..
I have installed jmx4perl plugin
i have understood how to write comands and define service in command.cfg and localhost.cfg
Can any one guide me how can i monitor the application running status in my jboss server and heap memory of the same.

Versions details are as below:
nagios : 3.4.4
jboss : 7.1.1
jmx4perl-1.06

What disto do you have the Jboss server installed on?

Unfortunately we do not have this set up in house here, so I'm not sure if they will function with Jboss 7 but there are current JMX plugins available. If you need help looking into a specific plugin let me know!

Hi,

Will jboss2nagios plugin used with nagios work with jboss7.

I am using jmx4perl plugin and couldn't was unable to monitor,though i have defined services as well as commands.

Unfortunately we do not have this set up in house here, so I'm not sure if they will function with Jboss 7.

What issue are you seeing with the jmx plugin? Any error's would help us to help you.
