Activity logging in nagios

Post by spab25 »

Is there a way to log the activity of nagios users, either by IP or by username to see what all they have done? We have had issues with users disabling tests and we don't know who keeps doing it. We want to lock down nagios to changes, but not kill the ability of our users to make valid changes.

Yes, if you have Nagios XI Enterprise edition you can use the "Audit Log" feature for this, it is located at:
Admin > Audit Log
Then filling in the time constraints, you can view changes users have made, what type of change, where, and when.

Ok thanks, I appreciate the fast reply!!! We may end up buying at some point if this keeps happening.
