1. Install Nagios Fusion

There are two primary methods of installation:

1) Manual installation.
2) A virtual image such as an OVA.

The following video outlines How to select the version appropriate for your environment:
 

 

Quick OVA based Installation:

Please note the following videos and documents use Nagios Fusion version 4.x however the instructions are applicable to the current 2024 versions of Nagios Fusion.

Please note that we furnish our virtual images (OVA/VHD) as a convenience and they are not indented for production use. The virtual machine images are not considered official distributions and only the Nagios Software contained within the image is an official distribution. We provide them to enable our customers to quickly bootstrap and evaluate our product. They are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind and we do not manage and/or maintain the image after creation. You are welcome to use our OVA in production if you like however we do not support the operating system nor any alterations to the underlying dependencies/components.

Quick Source Based Installation:

First ensure that you have a minimal install of an operating system that Nagios Fusion is supported on: 

Nagios Software / Operating System (OS) compatibility matrix

Next long into your freshly Installed Linux system as root and fetch the latest version of Nagios Fusion:

     wget https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagiosfusion/fusion-latest.tar.gz


Extract the tar file:

     tar -xzvf fusion-latest.tar.gz


Chage into the nagiosfusion directory and run the fullinstall script

 

     cd nagiosfusion

     ./fullinstall
