I cheated.
I added the server name : IP to the /etc/hosts file problem solved.

but at least this got me to clean up my reverse look up zone a little bit.

just odd that nagios on centos didn't seem to care. (i did check the host file there and it wasnt in it)

This item can be locked.

I tried the suggestions given....but one thign i found odd. I tried the normal wizard....failed as expeceted. Tried again with its IP address....worked, and even gave the correct FQDN correctservername.jpg I backed out so that i could create documentation....second time, it gave a bad name wrongserv...

I have ipv6 disabled.

I will see it if likes IP address instead of hostname. worse comes to worse i will manually add it.

I will try your other suggestions and see how it goes.

part of the problem....it isn't showing, thus making it difficult to remove it from downtime.

But i do now see the item for downtime in Host/Alert Settings (and services)

i will have to make sure they are turned off there as well

I have a few systems that send out alerts saying they are going to DOWNTIME, then later an alert saying DOWNTIME is finsihed. The issue is, there is one that I want to remove from that.....except, i cannot find it in the downtime list to remove from downtime. any ideas? Installed Version: 2026R1.5 *...

I just noticed this today.... in Nagios XI ( Installed Version: 2024R2 On Centos 9 ) Home / (under Details on left) Service Status its blank it says 'No matches services found' same with Host Status Hostgroup Summary is empty Servicegroup Summary is empty as is Servicegroupgrid and hostgroupgrid not...

I need to re-new the cert for my NagiosXI url so that I can get rid of the 'not secure' warning. Also, we use a WIndows CA server for certs
