Following this as I have been made aware by our identity team that this will be an issue for us as of March 31st. Will there be an update or (supported) workaround available for XI 2024 (ie. downloading the updated duo_universal_php)?
Thanks...John

Re: Prevent Recovery Notifications After Re-Enabling Notifications in Nagios XI
Thanks Cole. I did some testing in our QA environment and I can confirm the issue occurs there as well. Standard setup. I'll open a support request.

Re: Prevent Recovery Notifications After Re-Enabling Notifications in Nagios XI
Here's a timeline from the reports. It looks like that disabling notifications in the middle of an outage does not stop the recovery events from going out after you enable notifications again. Might have always been this way and never really noticed. However, in these rare cases, we want to avoid se...

Re: Prevent Recovery Notifications After Re-Enabling Notifications in Nagios XI
Interesting because this was brought up by my manager because recovery alerts did go out when we re-enabled notifications, even though the hosts had already recovered. I'll have to test this in our QA environment to see if it can be replicated.

Re: Prevent Recovery Notifications After Re-Enabling Notifications in Nagios XI
The alerts will have already gone out. This is a unscheduled outage/DR type scenario, where we don't want recovery alerts to go out. I assume downtime will not help stop the recovery alerts to go out, correct?

Re: Prevent Recovery Notifications After Re-Enabling Notifications in Nagios XI
Since we are using sendmail to send out our alerts, could I stop sendmail, enable notifications, then clear the mail queue?
A crazy way to do it, but just a thought.

Prevent Recovery Notifications After Re-Enabling Notifications in Nagios XI
Hello all, In our configuration, we send out recovery notifications. During a recent incident, we disabled notifications globally in Nagios XI in the middle of a major outage to stop alerts from going out. Later, when we re-enabled notifications, recovery notifications were sent to users for service...

Re: 2024R2.2.1 PDF Reports Bug
Aaron,
Understandable. I just needed to point something for our Systems and ISO teams when we want to open some holes in the system.
I also check the config late yesterday and saw the config was now set to Chrome.

Re: 2024R2.2.1 PDF Reports Bug
Zachary,
Just to confirm, Nagios is officially switching from Chromium to Chrome? I know that was a temporary workaround when I previously had an issue.
This creates a headache for us because Redhat does not support Chrome, so I need something official to submit to our systems team.
Thanks...John

2024R2.2.1 PDF Reports Bug
I recently upgraded to 2024R2.2.1 in our QA environment, looking for a stable version of 2024R2, and in my testing, I discovered that I am unable to download PDF reports again. My daily report came in this morning at 0kb. If I try to download any reports as a PDF, I never get back any type of respon...
