Re: Upgrade to 2024R2-1, UI shows 2024R1.3
Hi, I realize I didn't explain that this was an offline upgrade. I downloaded a tar, then followed the upgrade instructions. https://repo.nagios.com/?repo=offline. So I have a /tmp/rpms/nagiosxi dir, containing: -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1206 Jul 2 15:08 fullinstall -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 2472 Jul 2 15...

Upgrade to 2024R2-1, UI shows 2024R1.3
Hi, I just upgraded to R2-1 from R1.3. No errors during upgrade. Afterwards, cycled mysql, nrpe, httpd and nagios just because. All is running as normal. But the UI is still showing I'm at ver 2024R1.3, and and update to 2024R2 is available. Thought to run ./upgrade again, but got this result. Offli...

Re: Notification of Service as a Warning
Very interesting, thanks for that! I read the documentation a https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagiosxi/docs/Using-the-Negate-Plugin-2024.pdf Negate can change a critical to OK or an OK to critical -- so switch between the two ends of the spectrum so to speak. But not seeing how to change a criti...

Notification of Service as a Warning
Hello, we would like to change how certain services are notified. At present all notified service checks notify with subject line including "CRITICAL" along with the check name and host. But some check failures, aren't really "CRITICAL" per se. They're good to know about, and we ...

Re: What is the default address ip of nagios server?
Guessing, but it looks like your trying to resolve an nrpe check issue, server can't connect to monitored host nrpe? You're editing /etc/nagios/nrpe.cfg on the remote host? That means literally replace <Nagios ip server> with the IP address of the Nagios server. Then nrpe on the server will be allow...

Re: Upgraded to 2024R2, Dashlets Still Broken
So I bit the bullet and deleted non-functioning dashlets from my 2024R2 dashboard and re-added. I am able to add BPI as a custom URL -- kind of. Comparing my R1.3 dashboard to the R2 dashboard, I notice that the scale up and scale down tools (+ - )are no longer available in the custom URL dashlet. S...

Upgraded to 2024R2, Dashlets Still Broken
In 2024R1.3 I have BPI included in a dashboard using the URL dashlet, it works fine. I upgraded my dev Nagios to 2024R2 and find that where the BPI should be I'm getting: Error: This website prevents embedding in frames for security reasons (X-Frame-Options: SAMEORIGIN). This restriction is a securi...

Re: Nagios XI R2 (Premium)
Where are "Release communications" and how does one get them? The only place I've seen info on releases is at https://www.nagios.com/changelog/ And I have to check there manually periodically.

Re: Dashlets on Home Page Broken since 2024R1.4.1
Broken dashboards was reported and acknowledged by Nagios on March 18th. That's now 1&1/2 months ago. You're saying the release "should" come in the next month, so maybe in May. Do I understand Nagios is allowing 2 1/2 months to fix this problem, which is blocking upgrades? That is, IF...
