Re: Monitoring Engine not running after attempted upgrade.
I rebuilt our Nagios server with the ova and successfully performed an online update. When I attempt to load my license onto the server I get an error stating that "Max activations exceeded" How do I rectify this? The other VM's I tried rebuilds with have all been terminated/deleted. Once ...

Re: Monitoring Engine not running after attempted upgrade.
I get this....
[root@localhost ~]# cat /tmp/xi-install.log
MySQL not yet installed - that's okay.
cp: cannot stat '/etc/my.cnf.d/mysql-server.cnf': No such file or directory

Monitoring Engine not running after attempted upgrade.
I attempted an offline upgrade from 5.11.3 to 2024R1.1.2-1 and after running the upgrade script everything appears to have installed correctly. When I bring up the url for our nagiosxi, the monitoring engine service is showing red and will not start. I've tried to restart the service via the gui as ...

Re: IP Address Manager
We're using 192.168.0.0/16 across our network. Looking for something to document what subnets are in use and on what devices they're being used on. There are a few of us doing network related tasks on the network and I'm looking for a tool other than a spreadsheet to keep all the subnets documented....

IP Address Manager
It doesn't appear that Nagios has an address manager built in similar to the address manager included with Solarwinds. Is anyone aware of an open source program that Nagios supports with a plugin? I didn't see anything in the Nagios Exchange.

Re: Juniper EX switches sending data, NA not receiving
I deleted the files/folder associated with the source and re-added the source. This seems to have resolved it. Thanks for all the info.

Host Status Detail graphs
When I view the graphs for Host Status Details I see rta (round trip average), rtmax (round trip max), rtmin (round trip minimum) & pl. What does pl stand for and what is it measuring?

Re: Juniper EX switches sending data, NA not receiving
I have files that exist in the flows folder. Some files appear to be very small, others seem to have some actual data. As compared to sources that are working as expected, the file sizes pale in comparison. When I run the command "/usr/local/bin/sfcapd -I 1 -l /usr/local/nagiosna/var/source1/fl...

Re: Juniper EX switches sending data, NA not receiving
I ran the following command and was able to see the procress running. I manually restarted the process via the web interface and cli and neither seems to have made a difference.
Code: Select all
ps -ef | grep sfcapd

Juniper EX switches sending data, NA not receiving
I have several Juniper EX3400 switches set up as sources in Nagios Network Analyzer. Most of them report just fine. I have 2 for some reason that are not showing any data. All of them are set up to receive incoming sFlow data across a unique port (between udp2050 & 2070 in my case). The configur...
